Why would I feel the injustice of a Wendy's burning down? They have some of the worst food in the country.
But in all seriousness, riots take away from the REASON the riots are happening in the first place.

I think the video of George Floyd dying was significantly more moving than any of the riots.
black, brown, and poor people have been senselessly killed by police for decades. systemic racism in the force and the justice system has been the topic of songs and literature AT LEAST since the 60ies. the problem still exists. the lazy old "i'D tOtaLLy liStEn iF yOu jUsT wEreN't sO viOLenT / pRoTeStEd a DiFfeREnT wAy" argument is bullshit, and has been used ad nauseam by dishonest people. FACT is the overwhelming number of protests WERE peaceful, and still everybody, who doesn't want to face the truth about policing in the US, pretends they are all riots. the right would always look for, and find, some shitty way to discredit the messengers in order to dismiss the message - just look at kaepernick.
that does not mean i support senseless acts of violence or vandalism, but i sure get where the frustration, the sense of injustice and powerlessness is coming from - and i reject the silly narrative suggesting that the message about police brutality and racial discrimination was somehow undermined by the violence (much of which instigated or escalated by police themselves, or right wing agitators) that did occur.
if some psychopath can kneel on the neck and ultimately kill a man who's struggling to breathe for 8 minutes, if a boy with a toy gun gets executed on arrival, when people just driving in their car, following instructions to provide documentation are shot on the spot, when police break into ppl's homes and shoot them in their sleep, and you're telling me that you think the message is weakened because you saw a burning wendy's, i don't have much guessing to do as to where you're coming from... and those are just some of the cases we now know of, since they were documented and publicised- i can't even imagine how bad it was before bodycams and everyone owning a recording device...
