I think god is as much of a slave to the clockwork as the rest of us just at much higher up level

Here's my theory of everything: stuff started as a vibration/dot that was either either off or on, then slowly moved through every other possible point to the other state, here's it done with 4, but imagine this on the most epic scale imaginable

From computers we know that complicated stuff can be broken down into digital information. As the scale is so large every bit of code that can and will exists does, this creates all the possible states of the universe but somewhere is the code for consciousness which is god. Or this process is time itself 1111 state was the big bang 0000 stuff spread out to infinity/end of all, the code starts simple but then gets more and more complex, eventually god comes out of it, then lower down or at the same point the universe, then us as smaller shittier versions of the code that is god.
