Probably because parents exposing their children to religion are thinking of all the positive aspects of rasing family that way. In contrast, exposing your children to a Drag show doesn't have great benefits beyond temporary entertainment on grounds of subverting the norm. Going beyond the entertainment scope gets into LGBTQ advocacy territory, but you already said drag is just art, not a way life.

It doesn't have to be explicitly sexual. The very fact drag queens are allowed to read books is putting suggestions in children's minds that the drag lifestyle is ok.
