what treatments are you giving to covid patients, other than putting them on ventilators and suffocating them?
isnt nitric oxide therapy the fix?
There is no "fix". And what do you mean by suffocating them? We give them positive pressure therapy because their lungs become fibrosed from the disease.
We use nitric at times, we also use Veletri for lung compliance, they're both interchangeable but Veletri is FDA approved.
We use steroids during the inflammatory stage of the disease, different biologics like Remdesivir, anti-platelet aggregates such as heparin and argatroban if we see their labs that indicate clots "d-dimer, fibrinogens, etc" increase.
We follow ARDSNET protocol for positive pressure therapy because at the root of it all, they're in ARDS. We use proning therapy if their PF ratio gets below 150, which is completely facility dependent.
And finally we use extracorporeal membrane oxygenation if they are maxed out on ventilator settings and they're not ventilating "they're hypercapnic".
Why do you guys feel the need to attack healthcare workers? Has it really become a political thing where you guys think we work for the left and we're just killing people in the hospitals? Because we are literally doing our best to both keep it together and continue trying to treat people, regardless if they're COVID positive, vaccinated, unvaccinated, trauma, heart attack, etc.
