Sondland's testifying today right?

This should be the most interesting one out of all of them, regardless of the outcome. I'm curious to see what he's going to say.

Yup, he's the key witness in all of this. In particular since he's a crony of Trump, so he'll be massively conflicted between not wanting to incriminate Trump and not wanting to perjure himself.

Really the people chose clinton, arbitrary lines in the sand gave the power to trump.
The vast majority of people do not know how the process works and not many are willing to move to the middle of nowhere to make their vote count.
The majority of the people voted for clinton, so thats who the people wanted.
Making country people count for two votes is a manipulation of the will of the people.

I have never understood why tyranny of the minority is any better than tyranny of the majority.
Generally country people are the last people you want voting, they will vote for whoever promises a tax cut and to stop immigration and rarely are affected by either of those things.

My country is the same, the greens get 10% of the vote, the country party (nationals) get 4%, the nationals hold 5x as many seats because country people have more power than city people.
The nationals are corrupt shills who have ruined our country but the farmers vote for them because thats all they know.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the introduction of the electoral college is the reason why the remaining states signed to become a part of the United States. Otherwise, the nation would be decided by the most populated states only, and the other states would have no voice. No electoral college, no United States.

But hey, I'd be down for the most populated states to have their own country, the Midwest has the resources to survive on their own. But California, Texas, New York, Florida. They don't.

Not arbitrary.

Sondland: $ 1 million check to finance Donald Trump's inauguration which brought him as ambassador to the European Union
The "butt butt it's a democrat" card will get stuck in the ass of trump supporters for this one.

and wildfires
and homelessness
and horrible outcomes in the education system in many of their schools (while at the same time having some of the finest higher education institutions in the world)
and super high taxes which are already causing an exodus of middle class families who just cant afford living in CA anymore

Yeah, there's a reason they import water.

Also, California is not a good place in many ways. Rolling black outs, fires, rises in disease/homelessness, and disregard for laws. California democracy is terrible. Would never live there.

true, it's about time more federal funds were spent in california, and not wasted on the fucking coal industry. it's about time the good people of california stop being ignored just because it's a solid blue state, so no one has to worry about their vote...

we can have semantic back and forths until the cows come home. the reality is that people vote, THEN states vote. and the state vote is how we choose president. americans know this, the electoral college system is something everyone is aware of, people aren't in the dark in 2019.
