i don't get it. for trump supporters it makes sense trying to push bernie voters away from biden, and ignore the obvious 'lesser evil' rationale - but for you establishment shills that seems like a very counter-productive and rather stupid strategy, given how desperately biden needs those votes.

The people who are offended by such a statement aren't voters so their feelings are irrelevant. If you won't vote for Biden when his opponent is Trump, you're not a true progressive anyway. SCOTUS alone should be a good enough reason (frankly, that's my main concern with Biden because he'll appoint liberal justices like Clinton and Obama did).

EDIT: Also, I shit on cultists and progressives all the time because it's part of political humor.

first debate there was a lot of "at least none of us are Trump, we can all agree we'd all be better than Trump."

then it was, "Tulsi's an operative", "mayo pete looks too inexperienced to even run a town", "warren should have dropped out ages ago", "yang is unelectable", "biden is a racist", "biden is a segregationist", "biden is creepy", "biden is a rapist", "biden is a trump plant to take out bernie". i just assume that last one's coming.

for the supporters of maybe 3/4 of the stage it was true, anyone but trump. but bernie voters are just liars who assumed they had it in the bag.

they're small in turnout, not number. but otherwise i mostly agree. if they ever get mobilized tho their numbers will inflate. the only thing kids like more than not voting is looking like they're with the in crowd.
