The people running this investigation are also elected by the people of the United States. They are upholding their duty as elected officials.

That could certainly be argued yes.

Trump says Pelosi delaying vote on new trade pact to get impeachment support

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trade-usmca/trump-says-pelosi-delaying-vote-on-new-trade-pact-to-get-impeachment-support-idUSKBN1XT2AH

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi of delaying a vote to approve the USMCA trade pact between the United States, Canada and Mexico in order to secure support for her impeachment inquiry.

Pelosi has tasked Democratic leaders in the House with probing whether Trump’s request that Ukraine investigate a political rival rises to the level of an impeachable offense. Since the inquiry began hostility has built between her and Trump, a Republican, with Pelosi leaving an Oval Office meeting last month saying Trump had insulted her.

Sounds like exactly what's happening.

you own yourself.

no American people are people, humans, sentient beings.

A popular vote is a term used to describe who had the most votes during an election

fuck off troll kid.

you are arguing with your own argument again.

get off my dick

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the introduction of the electoral college is the reason why the remaining states signed to become a part of the United States. Otherwise, the nation would be decided by the most populated states only, and the other states would have no voice. No electoral college, no United States.

But hey, I'd be down for the most populated states to have their own country, the Midwest has the resources to survive on their own. But California, Texas, New York, Florida. They don't.

"the electoral college chose Trump"

=

"the american people chose trump"

cant read or do math. get owned more kid.

Really the people chose clinton, arbitrary lines in the sand gave the power to trump.
The vast majority of people do not know how the process works and not many are willing to move to the middle of nowhere to make their vote count.
The majority of the people voted for clinton, so thats who the people wanted.
Making country people count for two votes is a manipulation of the will of the people.

I have never understood why tyranny of the minority is any better than tyranny of the majority.
Generally country people are the last people you want voting, they will vote for whoever promises a tax cut and to stop immigration and rarely are affected by either of those things.

My country is the same, the greens get 10% of the vote, the country party (nationals) get 4%, the nationals hold 5x as many seats because country people have more power than city people.
The nationals are corrupt shills who have ruined our country but the farmers vote for them because thats all they know.

Here's the problem people have with the Electoral College. They keep thinking of the US as one contiguous country and it's not.
It's a country made of 50 States. Not only 50 States, but 50 states with their own state's rights. They ALL have to have a say.
That's why the popular vote for POTUS would not be fair and the Electoral College is fair.

/e Maybe it might be easier to think of the US as a country made up of 50 sub-countries.

lol, the EC actually makes sure that only a couple of swing states 'have a say' - the exact opposite of what it's intended to do.

Sondland's testifying today right?

This should be the most interesting one out of all of them, regardless of the outcome. I'm curious to see what he's going to say.
