A republican operative managed to get a hold of a cigarette butt from Ilhan Omar and a drinking straw from Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the man she was legally married to, and had a DNA test performed, proving conclusively that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is biologically Ilhan Omar's brother. Providing proof of what we already knew all along.
Unfortunately, that republican operative was none other than Anton Lazzaro, who immediately became news the
next day when he was outed as a child sex trafficker in a scandal that's rocking MNGOP leadership and leading calls for Carnahan's resignation, since Lazzaro was one of her top donors and political allies. Lazzaro was campaign chief of Ilhan Omar's GOP opponent last election, the black guy who had a snowball's chance in hell of beating her, and Lazzaro its a 30 year old with mysterious large sums of cash and ostentatious luxury lifestyle despite no visible means of income, which has also implicated them in skimming from campaign funds or something else nefarious.
The DNA evidence appears on its face to be legit, and we already
knew Ilhan Omar married her brother, that's already been proven 99.99% anyway, but the source is so incredibly dubious that eh, needs a lot more confirmation.
The evidence includes the DNA test documents performed by Endeavour Laboratories finding a 99.999998% chance of a sibling match, naming a "cigarette butt" and "straw" as the two objects compared, as well as a picture of Ilhan Omar smoking a cigarette outside her home. The test was uploaded by Lazarro to a website just 12 hours before he was arrested on the child sex charges, which is either incredibly coincidental or speaks to an intentional timing, by either him or ellison's office (DA ellison is Omar's ally and his house replacement)
