That is the only thing having a sense here: China get advantages of the situation at pure geo-political level, and the proxy country is NK, im agree with this.
About Russia im not sure of the advantages they could get. Excepted that Poutin said "i prefer a multipolar world"; this situation is also good for him.

Basically NK is a reinforcement of the EAST.
The EAST is a concatenation of Shit-Authoritarian countries; they opened to "capitalism" and "market" but seems it doesnt helped...

I think NK wants SK and to eliminate the competition from Japan by slightly bombing them.
Also China does want to control the whole South China Sea.


So it's probably NK + China, with them both pretending it isn't true.

Both Trump and Kim are like those dogs that bark as if they're rabid, but (fortunately) never get around delivering an actual bite.

I read a pretty long and interesting article on a spanish newspaper that compared the NK situation today with the situation of China as it was developing nukes. Quotes from Nixon (from both when he was vicepresident in the 50s and president in the late 60s and early 90s) are very much in line with the bizarre menacing tone of Trump, Mao's defiant attitude and populist anti-american speeches are similar to the ones Kim uses today, and the USSR used to play ambiguous role asking for dialogue between all parties in a very similar way to what China is doing now. And of course, there are a lot of parallelisms with what is being said now about how threatening this situation is for SK, and what was said back then about how threatening the situation was for Taiwan. Looks like history is repeating itself.

So some people here are saying China will resolve the NK issue...
China the new world savior 🙃... They are winning in all ways;

- announcing they have successful talks with NK, that will accept to not attacking American bases.
- letting NK get complete dissuasive weaponry in the background.

and again it's china to look and act like the mature ones in this, the #1 superpower in the world.
i said it months ago, it's fascinating how quickly and willingly the USA lost that status under trump...

and people said "don't vote for hillary, she's gonna start ww3"...
