What you just described is what Ukrainians are doing to Russian PoW's, yes.

However, Russia does not torture theirs and this is a verified fact after the interviews of hundreds of prisoners and there being absolutely zero evidence coming out within the past 45 days of Russia torturing Ukrainian PoW's.

Meanwhile Ukrainians film themselves shooting PoW's in the knees and calling for castrating them, etc.

One (Ukraine) acts like hate-filled barbarians that take out their pitiful rage on unarmed soldiers because they know they can't win the war, while the other treats their PoW's - even the Nazi warcriminals - with dignity.

The worst thing that will happen to a Ukrainian PoW is that they might be prosecuted and jailed for warcrimes depending on if they killed civilians or not.

Like I would understand if the allegations that these groups are Nazis spawned recently so people don't know much about them but there's literally years of coverage with hundreds of reputable articles pointing to who these people are. If you want to paint this conflict as being black and white it helps to not have Nazis in your ranks, that's why Zelensky is a huge idiot for not denouncing them.

Do you seriously think Zelensky is in a position where he can be picky with his allies and soldiers? Any man or woman who's willing and able to fight for Ukraine against Russia is welcome to do so, no matter their political or ideological inclination. Do you expect a desperate wartime president to denounce his own troops to score purity or decency points with foreign voyeurs like us?

Take the Asov Battalion, for instance: they did a great job dragging out the fighting in Mariupol, tied up and wore out Russian forces there. Their ultranationalism prompted them to fight and ultimately sacrifice their lives for their country and bought the regular Ukrainian army valuable time. They might have been nazis and I'm not gonna shed a tear for them, but there's no denying that they've been useful idiots for Ukraine's cause. "Thanks for your services and good riddance."
