34% of Americans can find Ukraine on the map.

Oh, same for most states, lol. I would have a hard time labeling a map of the US and I'm not bad at geography.

Ohio
- 2018 state GDP: $675.9 billion
- GDP higher than: 192 of 212 countries
- GDP equal to: Poland ($585.7 billion) plus Sri Lanka ($88.9 billion)

Tobacco, the auto industry, and aircraft industry make up some staples of Ohio’s GDP figures. Tobacco is also an anchor of Sri Lanka’s economy, along with oil and tea.

I live in Europe and I also dont know where is which US state. I could only locate Alaska, Florida, and I know more or less where is California, Texas, NewYork and that's about it.
Still like USA, dont really need to know American geographics to consider USA friendly and liberal country.

We're big. Ohio is the size of France and has the GDP of China.

Actually the one mentioned Dracula Land was pretty damn correct. In case of Zakarpattia Oblast. I came from there, I know sh*t all.

I moved to holland when I was 7. The teacher asked me to stand up at the top of the class and tell everyone where I was from. I said I was from Ireland. There was a really big map of the world behind me. The teacher got a sticker and dumped it on New Zealand (even then I knew where New Zealand was ok) and said to the class thats where I am from. I moved the sticker to Ireland.

its perfectly normal for casual uninformed people to have limited knowledge of places and events outside of their "world", where their "world" is there county, country, continent, planet, galaxy. By the age of 17 i had returned to ireland and finnished 2ndary school there. no one else in my class, had ever been outside dublin. i didnt say ireland, i said dublin. that has changed now and young people travel alot, but it is a good metaphor as to why people dont know all the countries of europe or all the states in america.
