Mueller is going to get to the bottom of whatever went on. If there's not sufficient evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, we'll all know when the investigation is over.

The idea that there's some smoking gun which reveals Trump has been compromised by the Russian government makes for interesting television, but there's almost no chance that'll happen. I'm guessing members of the Trump campaign will be brought up on charges unrelated to the campaign directly, and after Trump loses in 2020 we'll all wonder whether Russia really did have kompromat on him.

Mr Papadopoulos' misdemeanor is, for the first time in a federal procedure, a link between Donald Trump's campaign and the Russian government, suspected of interference.

George Papadopoulos, who was responsible for Trump's foreign policy issues, pleaded guilty on 5 October to having lied to FBI investigators about his relationship with relatives of the Russian government.

The entire "obfuscate/distract/lie" team rushing out to try to pretend Manafort and Gates were just low-level volunteers who had/have nothing to do with Trump's campaign and administration only to be completely blindsided by the Papadopolous reveal was poetry in motion.

Mueller's team is noooooo joke. They're running a super-tight ship.

And Papadopolous' statements, after being caught in the lies...STILL doen't implicate Trump...

There's a legitimate Constitutional question as to whether or not a sitting president can even be indicted and prosecuted, and Mueller already has a strong case against Trump for obstruction of justice in the Comey firing -- do you really think on the day that the very first indictments in a sprawling investigation are publicly revealed that incriminating evidence against the POTUS, who is clearly a primary focus (if not the subject) of the investigation would be revealed?
