At least in the first case we had a peaceful protest with no deaths, no arson, no rape, and the city intact. We can't really say that about the second case. Perhaps Trump has a better handle on this than you after all.

I agree. Who cares about ensuring that this guy survives until his trial. Just hand him over the mob and let them handle it. It may not be elegant, but it's efficient.

The right to own and carry firearms is, uh... A Right. The right to PEACEABLY protest is, uh... A Right.

Forget any assessments or characterizations. The right to both peaceably protest and carry firearms are Constitutionally guaranteed.

B&E, Arson, Theft, Rape, Assault, and Murder are all crimes, and none of them are rights.

Your attempt to excuse the riots and looting and compare them to actual peaceful protests is abhorrent.

Race is not a concern or comparison. Criminal activity is the concern. Once again, the murder of George Floyd is horrible, and the officers involved need to be held accountable. The criminal activities of rioters is also horrible, and those engaging in said criminal activities need to be held accountable. Doesn't matter if the criminal is white, black, red, yellow, brown, or pink with green sparkles.

The precinct station is not a jail. He would have ended up in seclusion at the Hennepin County Detention Center.
