swamp demon from administration which violated the 4th amendment and spied on citizens is mad at a hypothetical pardon of individual who, you guessed it, leaked evidence of government violation of the 4th amendment and spying on citizens. he leaked the information to the guardian, a media/news outlet.

bear in mind this swamp demon was in the administration who commuted the sentence of Private Chelsea Manning, who leaked military intel that compromised US and other allied military forces. Manning leaked the intel to wikileaks, which apparently (according to swamp demon Rice, and others who were fine with the commutation) then went and helped ‘russia’ go and “hack the election”

I know, but there are still new votes sometimes. :)
I just feel sorry for him.
No matter how popular he will be, the party won't ever let him run for presidency.
I hope he realises this next time, if he still alive... :(

Pentagon is eyeing a 2.2 billion dollar cut to military healthcare after a 740 billion dollar budget was passed.

Quote
Esper and his deputies have argued that America's private health system can pick up the slack for any service members who lose coverage.

Quote
$2.2 billion in cuts includes "eliminating all basic research dollars for combat casualty care, infectious disease and military medicine for [Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences], as well as slicing operational funds."

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/17/arts/television/jussie-smollett-case-special-prosecutor.html

Kim Foxx / Jussie Smollett special prosecutor concludes with the predictable outcome: No charges for Kim Foxx, while acknowledging obvious abuses of discretion and misconduct by her and her office.
At the end of the day, I think this just illustrates how fundamentally flawed the very concept of prosecutorial discretion is. Its always going to be someone's bias, someone's political priorities, someone's overtly unjust decisions. Whether its attorneys on the west coast saying antifa rioters are free to commit any crime short of murder without prosecution, or on the east coast looking for any means of attack on the Trump organization, or whatever inbetween, the discretion of prosecutors inserts a bias accountable only to political whims into the state's powers, a failure point without checks or balances, without recourse or direct accountability. They're free to do pretty much anything short of naked financial corruption, anything but money changing hands.
