I mean, they're not robots, but they're more compliant than the UK.
Everyone except for Murica is more compliant than the Brits.

read the link i posted. also, you CAN compare them to any other country you like of course, but which countries do you consider closer in terms of culture, attitude, and other factors relevant to covid (like population density, geography, phases of the pandemic...)?
What I was contemplating is if a comparison between Sweden and Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, the UK would be valid. Fact of the matter is that Denmark, Norway and Finland got through the pandemic exceptionally well, so only allowing Sweden to be compared to them might skew our perspective. Sweden has a higher population density, larger metros, a higher share of foreign-born and more international tourists than either of its fellow Scandinavian countries, so I'm genuinely unsure if our default expectations for them should have been to do as well as those.

first let me try to understand where you're coming from: do you genuinely not know IF masks and vaccines are effective means to slow the spread and lower the chances of catching covid? are you just looking for specific numbers and don't want to google it yourself (no clue if there's any study arriving at a concrete percentage, considering what arriving there would entail - but that was never the point anyway)? or do you simply not want to outright admit that ampoo's graphic is utter bullshit? because i distinctly remember you clutching your pearls and defending corrupt florida governor desantis because you felt that a picture i posted exaggerated his months of pandering to anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers. in this case, all of a sudden you seem to be desperate to make excuses for something that is blatantly misleading... funny how that works...
I know that there are plenty of studies with hard numbers on the effect of vaccines. You made it sound as if it was an equally well-established fact that masks significantly decrease the spread of covid. I would like to see a study which really tackles this question while disentangling the effect of masks from other covid measures like social distancing, closing or keeping open various venues and so on. Most studies on this issue that I can remember did a blanket comparison akin to "countries which had mask mandates and lockdowns had lower case numbers and deaths than countries which didn't (duh)".
