That article is from 2020, when people were fearing that Trump might put political pressure on the FDA to rush a vaccine to boost his reelection chances. Also, the scenario discussed in the article (forgoing all late stage trials) is not what actually ended up happening, the vaccines did complete their stage 3 trials before being granted the EUA in December.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that they are no longer "EUA vaccines".

The vaccines in the past weren't the result of a worldwide emergency. So the argument that they take at least 2 years to make is a super dumb one.

Pfizer just got full approval. So are you going to take Pfizer?
