Sure... "the overwhelming majority" ... yeah okay, I don't give a damn. I don't care what's popular, I only care what's right. A lot of doctors and scientists are warning against taking vaccines that were rushed. Lots of articles about that. Let's go with one:
https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/01/health/eua-coronavirus-vaccine-history/index.htmlI'll just wait, thank you very much. Vaccines in the past have always taken a minimum of 2 years to make. No way in hell are those vaccines out right now safe to use. I am not going to take EUA vaccines, fuck that shit.
That article is from 2020, when people were fearing that Trump might put political pressure on the FDA to rush a vaccine to boost his reelection chances. Also, the scenario discussed in the article (forgoing all late stage trials) is not what actually ended up happening, the vaccines did complete their stage 3 trials before being granted the EUA in December.
Anyway, I just wanted to point out that they are no longer "EUA vaccines".

the fda also approved quaaludes and a fistful of different opiods. not to mention all the other goodies like adhd meds, benzos, ambien, barbiturates etc. oh and didn’t regulate tobacco at all until 2009 etc. cannabis is still federally illegal too and hemp is watched more than the fbi’s most wanted list.
while i think encouraging vaccination is the correct method, saying “oh the fda approves while they still have zero liability” is a troubling measuring stick
Sure, the FDA approval is not the be all end all - but it's the standard that he set out for himself in his previous two posts, and at least the Pfizer vaccine does meet this standard by now.
