there's a stark difference between caring about people's LIVES and HEALTH. specifically because trying to help people get healthier has proven to be ineffective, especially in the US.
i cant take action to stop fatties from eating mcdonalds 4 times a week and not working out and not drinking soda. but maybe with action to increase vaccine counts, lower public gatherings, and promote mask wearing those same fatties wont also die and overburden the healthcare system so that their 40 year old fat ass is taking up a hospital bed that my grandma may end up needing, taking a doctors time she might need, etc.
smart people are pragmatic people. expecting a population of 300m+ people who are largely unhealthy to take better care of themselves as a solution to covid isnt a smart course of action, its a selfish one from someone who's likely already healthy enough to pass through a covid infection with just a few minor body aches.
sadly many of those same unhealthy idiots dont want help, i just hope they die before they clog up a hospital bed. i love/hate the news stories of dying people in beds begging for the vaccine which wont save them, i dont feel sorry for them, i feel sorry for the doctor that has to care for them and the bed that struggles to hold them up. the faster they die the faster that bed can be disinfected and they wont serve as a risk to infect my grandma, my immune compromised wife, or my daughter. id still prefer they darwin themselves out in their trailer so we can just burn it with them inside for a cremation that best serves society.
it's tragic that people, including majority on this forum, believe taking a vaccine is everything they need to do to keep themselves safe.
it's tragic from the side of our leaders that not a single time was data released on underlying health conditions of covid victims, in order to raise awareness of self care when it comes to health and fitness.
it's seriously sad that people eating mcdonalds 4times a week will get a vaccine, then proceed with their trash lifestyle and consider themselves to be heroes cos they care for community. while lets be real, they did nothing for themselves or those around them.
not a single country, single pro-vax doctor, or any politician, did even once mention how changing diet and going out for a run could actually help us in this pandemic. quite the contrary, some mayors and governors in USA offered free donuts and burgers for vaccinated people. and those are our "leaders" who's opinion you're not allowed to oppose with any facts, cos you're suddenly a flat earth conspiracy theorist.

risk lives of young people is a really funny way to describe a vaccine shot that almost literally never kills young people.
if my kid isnt willing to take a shot that has a .000000000000000001% fatal rate in order to save grandma from a disease that she has a 50-50 shot or worse from surviving i'll just contact CPS to have her adopted. luckily as a parent i wont raise her to be an idiot like almost all anti vaxxers.
short term, she'll be fine.
long term, no1 knows.
i know people dont like it when you call it an "experimental treatment", but that's what it's officially called, for a reason. cos long term effects are unknown as vaccine is on trial until end of 2023.
so how will ur daughter react to that in a long run, no1 knows. which is why pushing vaccine that's clinically not tested in a long run or even approved yet by FDA, shouldn't be happening.
