dude, YOU are the one who got bent out of shape over the "downplaying vaccine effectiveness" line in that twitter thread, because you needed some kind ofDEFLECTION FROM THE CORRUPT BEHAVIOUR OF DESANTIS, which is the main story here, lol.
everyone already knows that desantis' flippant covid approach and his pandering to the science-denying trumpian base has cost florida dearly already - their covid cases are exploding (hence his backpedaling and damage control efforts in the last couple of weeks). but again, the main story there was his CORRUPTION. it's almost like successfully managed to talk yourself into a frenzy about semantic that you actually forgot that part. just hack things i guess...
And I've already explained how negligible this corruption is in the grand scheme of things. And I've already blasted DeSantis for it anyway, in case you missed that. We're disagreeing on the extent, not the basic fact that the Regeneron entanglement is bad.
You recited activists who are blowing the thing vastly out of proportion and make up shit out of thin air to smear DeSantis on top of it ("he's downplaying the vaccine effectiveness"). You are the one who started this conversation by linking a gross, bad faith misrepresentation of the issue.

maybe actually read the article you posted, which confirms what i'm saying: he is losing support NOW and being called a "sellout" by people that clearly got the (very much intended) impression that he was on their side - all the way until he simply couldn't hide the terrible effect of his pandering to anti-intellectual trumptards anymore (no matter how many data analysts he fired and intimidated, body bags and ICUs at capacity are harder to hide than some numbers), which lead to some of the quotes that you already pretended would make all his previous anti-science rhetoric disappear. thank you for proving my point, lol.
Lol, this proves nothing. DeSantis has demonstrably been promoting the vaccines in June, in May, it goes back to as early as January. If it takes these antivax rednecks that long to realize that their governor is not on their side on the vaccine issue, that's their fault, not DeSantis'.
