If you catch a cold because you went near other people, it was your choice, your action, that caught you that cold.

The Guinea Health Team was not injured by people. They were killed by Ebola. Had they opted to avoid the area, they'd be alive today.

So if I know I have a deadly disease and sneeze in your face, and you die, I should be totally free of liability?

Google EMTALA and see we have universal healthcare just not universal health insurance.

This is the basis for why so many southwestern Emergency Rooms have closed over the last 30 years. Compensation under medicaid/medicare is only a fraction of the cost, and uncompensated care drove all too many of them into the ground.

Hence why I differentiated so heavily between ER and non ER. A ton of hospitals have no ER specifically to avoid the requirement to provide uncompensated care. And private practices and such all require compensation.

Not a big fan of EMTALA, but am aware of it.

The short version:

https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/covid-19-care-uninsured-individuals/index.html

Globally i would considere it as fully piad by the country. Maybe they should change their laws and hospitals could have the freedom to priorize vaccinated people. ROFL.

All that's really detailing is uninsured and illegal peoples should go to the ER, where they're free to go anyway. Oh, and vaccines are free. So that's literally no different than any other time.

"Can't pay or are here illegally? Use the ER as your family practitioner. They can't turn you away." It's one of the reason ERs end up with hours long wait times.

You are responsible for your bodily fluids. Urinating on another person, spitting on them, sneezing on them, or coughing directly on them is considered a form of assault, and has been labeled a form of active attack under covid regulations.

My question is, given nearly all businesses still have 6 foot guidelines, why are you close enough to another person to expel your bodily fluids on them?

So if I'm at WalMart and I am attempting to keep 6 feet from everybody, and you walk up behind me and get within a foot of me, I should be able to press charges for assault? Because that's the logical conclusion to the argument you laid out. After all, you are responsible for your bodily fluids and I'm actively maintaining my distance.

Your spaghetti logic is so flimsy today. Try harder.

1. Getting near another person is not assault. If a customer at a business is too close to other customers, they can be asked to leave.
2. If I'm within a foot of you, my bodily fluids are not on you. I need to cough directly on you, sneeze directly on you, spit directly on you, or urinate directly on you. Do you understand?
3. Covid is not a deadly disease. It's a respiratory infection that can have potential long term side effects up to and including death in a very small percentage of the population, primarily the elderly and those with heart conditions, COPD, asthma, and obesity.
4. Were you to have a truly deadly disease, such as Ebola, Marburg, or something of the like, then you would be actively quarantined until you recovered or died.

Once again, the CDC has reported that the vaccine does NOT prevent you from being a carrier and spreader of covid. Therefore, all of your arguments are trash regardless. Do you have any other questions?

By your own definition it is assault since I am actively maintaining distance and you are responsible for your bodily fluids.

If I am using spaghetti logic it is because your own logic is flimsy since I am relying exclusively on the premesis you laid out.

What kind of nonsense is this? A partial quote to directly ignore what it means to spread your bodily fluids? Your example was sneezing directly on another person. Your example, yes?

Look at what you quoted. "Getting near another person is NOT assault". Do you understand?

My bodily fluids are not coming into contact with you from a foot away. And before you start off on some bullshit about microdroplets in the air, those hang around for hours. If you're worried about those, Covid is the least of your concerns.

Once again: the CDC has reported that the vaccine does NOT prevent you from being a carrier and spreader of covid. Therefore, all of your arguments are trash regardless.

So, attempting to dictate that others get the vaccine has no purpose. What has a purpose is that if YOU feel unsafe, YOU get the vaccine. Now, you done yet, or still want to pull a stupid?

Except when you admit that getting near another person is sufficient to spread bodily fluids, and because you said spreading your bodily fluids is assault.

You don't get to say "why are you standing within 6 feet if you're afraid of Covid" and "one foot away isn't enough to spread bodily fluids". Sorry, those two statements are contradictory.

Just another example of a conspiracy nutter not being willing to take things to their logical conclusions.

At what point did I say anything about standing within 6 feet being sufficient to spread body fluids? Are you just making shit up now?

Exact quote. Where does it say anything about one foot away being assault?

Here you are, trying to advocate for vaccine mandates, and you can't even maintain a 6 foot distance from others? I'm pointing at YOUR lack of consistency here, Thor. If YOU follow policy, you're not going to be sneezing on people.

So, the question, how is standing a foot away from a person going to spread bodily fluids on them? Once again, I laid out what's considered assault in that manner:

I don't know what kind of verbal trap you've imagined you've found, but it's pretty epically stupid.

None of this BS happened or is relevant unless there is photo evidence of said bodily fluid exchange.
Then you will get minor punishment of solitary confinement for taking a picture. AND only if the you post it on the internet therefore violating your 5th amendment rights. So you will not be charged, and get off 100% free.
We good?
