i dont know the specifics, i dont even agree most likely with the arrest, but this happened during a time when cops were trading territory with protesters, taking rocks and bottles thrown at them, etc. idk if that area was some restricted zone, and i wouldnt dare say restricted zones aren't needed in cases like this. still shouldnt have been an arrest even in that scenario.
Normally I'd agree, but in this case, everything was caught live on camera to a national audience. The situation in this place was totally under control and calm, no fights between police and protesters since there were no protesters around to begin with.
The reporters were calmly and without any aggression talking to the cops, and then out of nowhere and for no apparent reason, they get arrested.
