Seems fair but it leads to a broken system, so you have to consider the big picture where such people are much rarer because of unhealthy food campaigns and regulation etc.

He was talking about his wife not getting the treatment she needs, what does his own weight have to do with any of that? Also, it's not like he's super obese. The dude is probably right around the median American BMI.

I was poking fun at the core of his argument. People who choose not to take the vaccine to be overweight and unhealthy should not expect priority at the hospital.

He wasn't expecting priority for himself, he was expecting it for the breast cancer treatment of his wife.
The core of his argument is absolutely right: these fuckers who choose to pass on the vaccines should not be able to offload the consequence of their personal decision on the general public once it turns out that their choice was the wrong one.
They should suffer the consequence of the decision they made, not everyone else.

2. yeah, people are still entitled to medical help, no matter what. that's why before becoming a doctor you have to give an oath.
