The guys in the Russian army are just random dudes who signed up to join the army. They are just guys whom are working to secure Russia's future safety and security, and in the process just so happen to free people in Ukraine from having to live under bandits like Azov.
I don't know why you keep calling them Nazi's. Is that necessary for you to justify your support for the actual Nazi's?
Russia had their reasons for going in. I believe they have good reasons, you don't. We will never see eye to eye on it, but in my book halting a Nazi offensive on Donetsk and Luhansk before it can even begin is a major win.
How many civilians would have died if Russia had stood by and done nothing? Probably many thousands, but since they were in DPR and LPR their lives aren't "important" enough to be mentioned by the MSM.
Would it have been more or less that have died because of the Russian operation? My guess is, it's about the same. Either way you slice it, civilians were going to die, either in Ukraine's offensive on Donbass or Russia's operation. There was no option where nobody would die because Ukraine had rejected peace. Either there was going to be a Nazi offensive where thousands would die or there was going to be a Russian pre-emptive operation to counter the Ukrainian one where thousands would die.
The only difference is, at-least Russia doesn't deliberately hit civilians for fun. Ukraine on the other hand kills their own just so they can blame it on Russia.
