The operation to cleanse Donbass is starting. Ukraine forces all along the front line are taking massive fire right now. Kharkov isn't that far from the front line.

True, it won't be an immediate objective. But I can almost certainly conclude that an offensive will eventually develop in that direction.

Besides, Kharkov much like Mariupol is a formerly pro-Russian city that has been under Nazi occupation for a long time. Azov has a 2nd HQ there. These guys can't be left alive for Ukraine to have a future.
