in adults though, and it would protect kids as well. i was making a point about the overwhelming majority of covid vaxx deniers, pointing out how it's largely politically motivated, and not some well reflected decision based on genuine and valid concerns.
you KNOW as well as i do that if trump had taken this whole thing seriously from the start, had embraced common sense measures like masks and distancing, let the experts and scientists do their thing without undermining them every step along the way, you wouldn't have millions of anti-vaxxers and red states' healthcare systems close to collapsing again. this is a fabricated problem, a political calculation gone terribly wrong, and i'm sure that even most trumpists secretly know that.

The virus is mutating regardless of vaccine or not, that's demonstrated by the emergence of delta and lambda, and we'll probably see whatever else emerges subsequently. how can you say that when not even a third of the world's population has gotten their first shot, and when most experts suggest that largely vaccinated populations would at least decelerate the emergence of new variants? you're acting like anything but a 100% solution for all covid related problems is not worth it. i know it's a popular "argument" amongst covid karens, but it's a deeply flawed and dishonest one, especially if used like you're doing it, suggesting it doesn't matter what we do, the outcome would be the same.
also, welcoming technologies that help mankind overcome certain medical challenges is not "hubris", it's what made us live to 90 and mothers not lose half her children at birth. obviously you're free to put your "faith" wherever you want, but so far god hasn't saved a single bible-thumper from covid, no matter how much faith they put in him.
