That's why when I throw my baseball when it stops accelerating in the vertical direction it loses all horizontal momentum.

Makes sense.

Proves that you need to look up the definition of acceleration (in the Physics sense).

I assure you, I don't need to look up any physics definitions to get through a simple air resistance problem.

I'm going to go back to research now. Thankfully the Born-Oppenheimer approximation lets me neglect nuclear velocities, or this would be much harder since I don't seem the know Physics I definitions.

im sure trump will eventually sit down and talk with north korea and agree with what they want in return stop the nuclear program

cause if war does break out it will be the biggest manmade disaster ever and it will take a very very long time to recover from it

but trump does say he will not talk a deal with north korea and if he does it just goes back on his word during campaign with America first blah blah blah would be make north korea great again lol

he doesn't have that many options here and we are running out of time to make a decision on what to do about the situation

Wow, now I think you're a Physics expert because you throw terms around.

Here's the short version for you...

In a parabolic trajectory the acceleration never "stops".
Acceleration is a change in velocity over time.

At the top of the parabola the velocity is zero, the acceleration is not.

You aren't telling me anything I don't know already.

Well, it sure seems like you don't have a clue.

I don't think the US (whoever the President is), will ever "deal" with North Korea. The US has pretty much made it clear that "we don't deal with terrorists", which is pretty much what NK is up to at the moment.

NK sat down in the UN and agreed to NOT develop a nuclear arsenal....then went out and did the opposite.
Personally I don't understand why the UN isn't all up in NKs face at the moment.

As for the US, I don't intend to lose any sleep worrying about NK. IF the UN calls for the other UN countries to put a stop to NKs latest, I'm sure the UN countries will come to the call, with w/e methods they each have.

Aka, sanctions, or maybe closing NKs borders from the outside, if things start to get nasty.
Yes, NK could launch a nuke...a barely working POS nuke, but a nuke just the same. I doubt it could make it anywhere important without being intercepted though.

meh north korea is working day in and day out on the nuclear program and are progressing faster than expected something needs to happen soon... all im seeing is war with words between the two leaders and a large usa military presence over there doing drills daily with sk and japan which I don't think is helping the situation but making war more likely to happen which is scary cause millions of innocent people would die all because of a nutjob leader who thinks he can take on nato and win

and who knows what another nuclear disaster would do to our environment its just not a good situation all the way around.. and i think this possible disaster needs to be prevented at all cost cause it wont end well for nobody but how to prevent it i do not know im sure the elites are looking at every possible outcome and coming up with some kind of strategy to take out the enemy with minimal casualties

Do you folks actually LOOK at the things you post?

A missile on a vertical trajectory only needs thrust for the upward leg.
A missile on a horizontal trajectory needs thrust the whole time. (granted much less thrust on the way down, but still needs thrust.).

How you folk can assume that a 2800km trip equivocates to a 7000km trip (in a more restrictive environment) is beyond me. :/

Sorry but thats the truth, lofted trajectory is well know technic, 4th july test was like 7000km potential and this one, the 28th, is more arround 10500 or something like that: it's acquired fact, i made the effort to post simple draw, i shared alot of stuff from trusted source in this topic, official documents and official videos from your own governement !

But you (and some others, btw, you arent the only one) are acting like bad kids and are completely rejecting it; i dont understand your reaction guys; whats wrong with you ?

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/28/half-the-continental-us-within-range-of-latest-north-korean-missile.html

Can grab you 20 links from trusted sources saying the same thing.

And the same is going on about the EMP way: basically detonate the missile earlier, at higter altitude:
- avoid taahd or any kind of defense
- covering nearly all the usa territory

It's not my fault, i do not like this news, but it's time for you to accept the facts instead of acting like a 10 years old kid unhappy of the story.

And soon they will extend it to SBLM.

I'm rejecting it because it's a load of crap. Media and even politicians and generals, may say: Yeah, that's true. But it isn't.

You got the LINK for that pic you posted in #519?
