If you modify the intensity of any of the four subatomic forces in terms of strength and behavior by any amount, then things like life, liquid water, and stars running on fusion become impossible. You would just have a lone universe heading on towards heat death.
Given the great varied strength in magnitude of these forces suggests that there was a specific selection of these values.
Scientists have played around with computer models on that fusion bit and you may find it worth reading up on.
That aside we do have what is largely a lone universe heading towards heat death. A sprinkle of life on one planet that will last an insignificant amount of time is hardly indicative of a universe designed with life in mind. If the values of these forces were selected then they were more likely to be selected with black holes in mind as there are more of them than there are life forms on earth, they kick ass and destroy anything they encounter and they will last for a very long period of time prior to the heat death of the universe. If this was a universe designed for life id expect there to be much more of it and for it to last a lot longer.
Lastly we dont know why these values are what they are and goddidit is not an adequate substitute for science. We may find naturalist explanations as we have done so historically for things we do not understand and formerly abscribed to god.
