Meh. This point would be far more legit if Harris hadnt slept her way up in San Francisco and state politics, and if she hadnt been given the VP spot mainly for having the right genitals and skin color. ;)

Also note that her parents are both highly educated and well-earning. Even if her parents were immigrants, Harris was still born into privilege. The life story of women like Elizabeth Warren or Ruth Bader Ginsburg imho is far more impressive, to name just two examples.

Susan Rice has zero campaign experience. I think she would do well if she was APPOINTED to the job but it would be a pretty big risk. Also, BENGHAZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lance Bottoms is not qualified to be President and her city is handling a crisis right now. Leaving mid-crisis is a horrible look which is why Gretchen didn't get the job either.

True, those are good points.
Except for the part about Whitmer. The reason Whitmer didnt get the job is this:

I don't feel like defending Hillary in a forum filled with Trump supporters... at some point it gets old.

But concerning the VP pick. No reasonable choice from Biden would appeal to you guys. Understanding that, who do you think would've been a better pick politically?

then don’t, no one care. scurry along to reddit politics and do it there. you will not be missed. while you’re over there tell Pollster hi and thank him for all the fuckin laughs!!!

herr derr Tulsi!

good job you got icepeon to once again display his abhorrent racism against Asian people. well with that coupled with his support for two candidates who wielded political power to destroy black american families maybe old icepeon really still is the same typical anti-american neocon thug, just one masquerading as a lefty (he’s still pale pasty privileged individual regardless)

imagine backing a ticket with a crooked cop and a swamp demon, who both wielded political power to destroy tens of thousands of minority families (as shown with the case of jamal truelove) and then claiming they’re here to help minority people

destroyed thousands of minority families? you've named one individual.

tone down the hyperbole just a tad

I am not the one who excluded half the country from his search for a running mate based on their genitals, lol.

And that Harris rose the ranks of SanFran politics as a protege of the local power broker she was sleeping with at he time (Willie Brown) is simply a fact. Calling this fact out is not sexism. And yes, if a male candidate started his political career by sleeping with his boss or whatever, I'd call him out for "sleeping up" too. The fact that "sleeping up" occurs more often in a male > female setting than in a female > male setting doesnt make it sexism to be against it.

This points to something in our politics... where there's no shared humanity or decency between us. Kamala's story can't be lauded as an example of immigrant success because she's the political enemy. Right-wingers attribute her success to gender and race, while denying that gender and race is a reason to oppose her.

Dude, come on. The talk within the Biden campaign and Democratic circles for the past months was quite literally "we MUST nominate a woman" and "she'd really better be black". It's so silly to deny that one of her strongest selling points during the veepstakes was the fact that she neatly checks all the desired diversity boxes...

That's your perspective, but Biden's decision to pick a woman, which historically almost never happens, is inclusive. Particularly a black and Indian woman. Historically breaking two barriers. These symbolic gestures don't mean that much to me... at the same time, I'm not offended by them like the cult is.

I don't know if your talking point is true or not, but why exactly is it relevant? Is a person ruthlessly pursuing their interests in life suddenly wrong? Am I supposed to be way more offended if Kamala pursued relationships to gain power, than I am Trump or any other male politician doing the same thing in a different context? I honestly don't understand it. There's this sexist notion that women have to abide by entirely different standards than men to be relevant in politics. I don't accept it.
