Hospitals and health care organizations do not make money off the majority of medical patients. 1/3 will not pay a bill and the remaining 2/3 they may break even with what insurance decides to pay

Healthcare organizations make money from interventions, elective surgeries like hip, knee , shoulder replacement. Elective Tonsil removals. Routine Hernia repairs. All the stuff that is on hold and post poned. Coupled with making out of the ass for nurses right now while they can practically dictate their rates. I am no sympathizer with corporate medicine , but they are bleeding right now. Will expect to see a number of the smaller ones go under to be eaten up by larger orgs with more cash at hand , ultimately worsening healthcare corporate monopolies
