The point is not about paying those well who return alive, it's about 50+% of those who respond to such an ad not coming home alive to begin with.
Also, the effeminate guy in this ad looks like a caricature. It's glaringly obvious that this dude is some male model or actor working for an advertisement agency, rather than an actual soldier.
Realistically, this is probably a similar situation to recruitment efforts in the US in ca. 2006 in that even the most uneducated, braindead morons are no longer stupid enough to enroll voluntarily.
These stats that half wont come home are very much overly pesimistic imo.
First of all this is just one year contract, you will train, you will become a real man, not a boy. And you get lifetime benefits like cheap mortgage.
Second of all Ukraine aint stupid, they arent gonna get their youth killed, so these people wont be sent to risky locations.
As sad and cruel as it is, for Ukraine its better to risk life of 50 year old guy, rather than a 20 years old guy.
Young people are needed to make families, raise children, to secure nation future.
