George Floyd had an accidental overdose a month prior to his encounter with the police. Because of this, Floyd went COMPLETELY CLEAN for a a month. Because of this, the state's argument that George Floyd had opiate tolerance is COMPLETELY FRAUDULENT.

George Floyd's current girlfriend testified the same thing to the state, that George Floyd was clean for the entire month prior to his death.

A blood level of 11ng/mL would have definite killed him, especially with his cardiovascular health and his concurrent use of methamphetamine.

You can't say that with any real level of confidence. Tolerance doesn't completely go away after one month.

George Floyd informed the officers more than 20 times that he couldn't breathe. Drugs didn't cause that. Pressure on his diaphragm did. He was murdered.

Since I can't edit the previous post now, concurrent use of methamphetamine probably counteracted the fentanyl to a certain degree, since fentanyl is a respiratory depressant, whereas meth is a stimulant.

One should be careful making conclusions about drug mixing and toxicity

Is it even possible to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt?

Courts in our country have a high standard of evidence.

Speedballs are one of the deadliest drug cocktails known to man. They killed John Belushi.

factually no. but to a jury yes. they convinced a jury OJ didnt kill his wife.

notice the weepy witnesses, MMA witnesses, etc. they come first to set the tone, then prosecution brings in the coroner to say they cant say the officers actions didnt kill Floyd, and it may do it.

right now the defense's #1 tactic is simply to express doubt, rather than innocence. that's a narrow lane.

Its also important to note the George Floyd was arrested on multiple occasions.

During each encounter he said that he couldn't breathe.

If Derek Chauvin was black there wouldn't even be a trial for this.

If all the defense gets out of the coroner is "we don't know if the drugs or the police killed him", they've won.

The police chief (I don't know what his testimony is/will be) is far more problematic for the defense. The weak spot in the case is that Chauvin was asked if they should be rolling him over by the junior officers, and he declined. That may be enough to get him on manslaughter / 3rd degree.
