Childish? Democrats in Congress intentionally dragged him through the mud and turned his confirmation hearings into a circus based on what they knew was a super thin premise. What Kavanaugh was showing that day was not childish or unhinged behavior, it was righteous indignation.

people like little fella thor and (D) senators believed michael avenatti’s tale that kavanaugh was organizing multiple “gang-rapes” of adults when he was 14 years old  this is what taxpayer dollars get wasted on unfortunately

Biden said not to vote for him if you believe Tara Reade. I believe Reade, so I'm not going to vote for him.

If his defense for questions such as sexual assault or climate change are "don't vote for me" or "vote for someone else" instead of engaging in productive dialogue, it's simply lazy campaigning and he doesn't deserve my vote.

I don't have a problem in principle with voting for Biden even if the accusation by Reade is true when you consider his Republican opponent this election very likely has done far worse (a lesser evil argument), but I just don't feel he deserves my vote at this point, among other un-inspiring qualms I have with the candidate. The Democratic party (and the country) must continue and will continue to suffer under Trump due to their incompetence.

Either you’re totally disingenuous about your statement or you don’t realize that Biden is a bridge candidate. He has made that statement several times. One of the main differences between Hillary and Biden? Bernie is willing to work with Biden. Others such as Warren, Yang, etc have their input valued. Having a collaborative team is supposed to be a good thing

The fact you say you believe Reade after I linked you to a source with 72 former Biden employees saying they didn’t know anything of a sexual allegation, and the history of Reade being a lying manipulator... yea I think you’re just not genuinely interested in voting blue no matter what

What he said is congruent for someone who is innocent and offended.

So are you just not voting or going third party?

I'm not sure yet. I might come around and vote Biden simply out of practicality for the SCOTUS (I was a SCOTUS voter in '16, too), but at this point I might write in Yang.

Played like a fucking fiddle. Your generation deserves everything they got coming :)

Seriously, how fucking lazy are you if you're going to characterize Biden's response as THAT. Maybe it's not the Democrats who are the problem and it's you?

My generation deserves everything they get coming to them, and so do the Boomers and the rest of America. We all get what we deserve.

As for me, I'll justify it by the fact that I'm going to keep more money and accumulate more wealth from Republicans winning more elections in this country. Not a healthy justification, but fuck it, I'll take more money at this point. The poor are going to get screwed over yet again.

Acting pretty high and mighty for somebody being so lazy.

Laziness? On the account of who?

I just spent hours researching local candidates before submitting my absentee ballot of my state and county. My vote is not lazy. I honestly am not sure if Biden or Democrats deserve our votes in light of everything.

Kavanaugh might not have sexually assaulted Ford (and I don't think he did), but his behavior in front of the Senate was indeed childish and unbecoming of a member of the SCOTUS.

Honestly, I'm on the fence when it comes to the question of whether another Trump term would spur positive change or not; and whether the long-term benefits from this outweigh the short- and long-term damage of another 4 years of Trump.

I'm still ideologically faaaar more aligned with him than with Democrats and my default stance on any given issue is still to defend him, but the way he mishandled the coronavirus situation has really soured me on him. Not to the point yet where I would prefer Biden over him, but it has taken a big chunk of my enthusiasm away.

I think another 4 years of Trump undoubtedly hurts the US. And I'm not even talking domestic policy or foreign reputation. His presidency has damaged the ethos and soul of this country and arguably more importantly has further worsened America's obsession with consolidating more power and attention into the chief executive.

Though, you could also argue this damage has been mostly done in these 4 years and we would have diminishing returns in the next 4. Plus, the country is so divided and toxic right now that I doubt a Democrat in office with a Republican Senate would likely shift the ethos any differently.

I honestly think the coverage of Reade in light of the Biden revalation has been one hit piece after another by a highly partisan media. I believe in due process and don't take these claims lightly. I didn't buy the Ford case, for example. I don't think we should believe all women blindly.

I think if you believe Reid with a degree of confidence high enough that it changes your vote then you're being lazy. Her case isn't strong at all, and is mostly consistent with a minor event and a later changed story.

"In light of everything" being what?

Nominating two shit Presidential candidates in a row, underperforming in state and Senate elections for years, and being a boring, un-inspiring, unproductive opposition party during Trump's first term. Obama propped this party up for 8 years.

As far as Biden's candidacy goes, what exactly is he running on besides being Obama's former VP and not being Trump? I thought Clinton was a bad candidate, but I think Biden could actually be worse (and this is even considering the fact that Clinton's scandal and dishonesty is far worse than Biden's scandal even if Reade's accusation is 100% true).

Biden might have been a fine presidential candidate 20 years ago, but now he's washed up, possibly senile, and quite frankly doesn't even seem like he is trying to win over votes with the way he acts and responds to legitimate questions. He is a bully and always has been, dating back to when he ran over
Anita Hill in th Senate chamber to when he puts his hands and fingers all over voters who give him any sort of push back.

Lastly, I don't think Reade's account has to be fully consistent across time for her to being telling the truth. She spoke about inappropriate behavior by Biden in the past, which I think adds credibility rather than removes it. It's a big deal to come out against someone so powerful and I think it's more likely that she didn't tell the whole story to AP in 2019 rather than is changing the story now. To me, there is a lot of uncertainty with the whole thing but Biden would rather blanketly dismiss that dialogue in the context of vote for or note vote for rather than engaged in nuanced discussion to the biggest scandal of his presidential election.

Except he's not acting childish in front of congress while it happens :D

I would say he was angry and indignant.

It was clear from the beginning that Ford's allegations contradicted witness testimony and that the investigation would turn up no new evidence. The Senate Democrats delayed the investigation in an attempt to sabotage the nomination, and then delayed again while (now convicted felon) Avenatti and friends tried to dig up supporting accusations.

Kavanaugh is not a stupid man, and was therefore acutely aware that the Senate Democrats were gleefully attempting to ruin his reputation and career for a crime they knew he almost certainly did not commit. With that in mind, I think we can all agree that the Senate's behavior was appalling, shameful, and completely beneath the dignity of their office.

I find it a bit disconcerting, though, that the same people who remind us daily about the integrity of high office find little to no fault with an attempt to destroy the career of a qualified, respected member of the judiciary. Instead we're to believe that the fault really lies with the judge, who, after all, is not open minded enough to consider that he might be guilty, and therefore certainly too partial for the job.

How dare be angry and indignant when Democrats accuse him of having lead a gang-rape ring at age 14, in front of his wife and kids? Someone with the right temperament for the SCOTUS must sit there and take this kind of abuse without batting an eye. /s

yeah, only that no democrat actually accused him of that, only that he refused any cooperation or proper investigation into the accusations of a credible witness while on the other hand claiming he'd love to clear his name, only that he had an established history of lying to the senate and did it again in those hearings, only that he has indeed shown a lack of emotional self-control and temperament concerning perfectly REASONABLE and JUSTIFIED questions, to warrant a lifetime nomination to the country's highest court.

you can put a shitty and simplistic spin on it, but that won't make the FACTS disappear, you lazy hack.
