I'm not a fucking Russian general so I have no idea what the military objectives for the forces stationed around Kharkiv are or were.

Nor am I in a position to judge if they were successful or not.

Given that a strike force was never assembled to enter the city, the only thing I know for sure is that storming the city was not an objective. (not yet, at-least.)

Kharkiv is a large city and will be just as bloody or bloodier than Mariupol to take. It's not likely they would try it until the objectives in Donbass are completed.

what do you think? the video clearly shows like 15 guys with blue armbands getting hit at point blank range.

It was a Russian tank, do the math.

What makes it fucked up is that those guys had time to react but they didn't. Caught totally unaware.

There's another vantage point video that was being shot, much closer, it shows a blue arm band on one of the soldiers. Those are worn by Ukrainians.

In other news, Moskva, a Russian cruiser was hit by Ukrainian rockets allegedly causing it to capsize and sink, ship of ~500 crew, all crew members were evacuated prior to sinking. Pretty significant to sink a ship of that size and caliber, wont change the course of the war but that's a big hardware loss.
