This thread is quickly becoming an echo chamber as everyone on the pro-war side disappeared or don’t bother posting here anymore.

The pro-war crowd has more important domestic concerns now. Their hierarchy of entitlements has been DOGEd and exploited labor ICEd.

What’s your point about tractors? Russia & Belarus produces tractors and yes Russian agricultural sector is booming. Wheat production went 50% up in 5 years and govt is running “0% loans on farming equipment” subsidy program.

According to your chart, Russian producton grew by some 10ish percent while tractor imports grew by 200%. The point is obviously that these "tractor" imports from China are just a cover for the import of engines and parts for Russia's military. Which also contradicts the point about the Russian war machine being autarkic.

Not about leverage with Russia, but about shifting the spending burden from American taxpayers to German ones. It's going to happen, but Trump's abruptness will force Euro spend way faster than they would have wanted.

Trump is an ego-driven narcissist, he definitely doesn't want to look weak or like he "lost" the negotiations with Putin. Nor do I think that he wants to go down in history as the guy who negotiated a sham peace which ended in renewed war after just a few years. So yes, I do think that from a rational pov, it should be in Trump's interest to actually negotiate the best deal he can get, rather than just the quickest. And that, in turn, of course means that he should be interested in having leverage.

Chances are that European support alone can't sustain Ukraine's war efforts. Financially, it would be no categorical problem, but in terms of military production, I doubt that the Euros have the capacity to compensate for a lack of US supplies on the spot. They could do it if given 2-3 years to set production up; or if they immediately went on wartime footing because their own asses were truly at stake. But at the end of the day, they won't halt BMW's or Peugeot's assembly lines and sustain billions in GDP loss, just to keep Ukraine hanging around for a bit longer. Imho, Ukraine will be forced to swallow whichever deal Trump negotiates.

This peace negotiations deal is just Minsk 3.0, so Europe and the USA can re tool and get their production numbers up to restart the conflict at a later time.
As far as Russian imports, how and why should any of that be stopped?
If it's more economical to buy Chinese manufactured Diesel engines right now, whats wrong with that.
Remember when Obama was arming ISIS, and calling it Non-Lethal Aid?

Whats worse in your eyes? A handful of uncle sams outdated military toys making its way to a couple thousand Europeans that like to larp as nazis, using said weaponry to defend European soil from Americas historical #1 threat

Or

Uncle sam picking up the tab and supplying an unlimited amount of goodies to the Israelis who are committing a real-time ethnic cleansing, disproportionately targeting civilians using AI targeting software?

America has had an incredible ROI in Ukraine. Europe is now dependent on its energy and military toys, while Russia has been relegated to a regional power, losing tens of thousands of armor at the expense of zero American lives. IMO the war in Ukraine has been a masterclass in proxy fighting by uncle sam, at Europes expense, of course.

America's #1 historical threat is Nazis. Nazis and the hun before them. China is our #1 current threat.
None of this serves our national interests. We're not "defending europe", we're greatly destabilizing europe and undermining the western economic hegemony which harms america, harms europe, harms our long term interests.
Picking this losing fight, trying and failing to force the unaligned world to join our blockade as we weaponized the dollar, spurring hostilities between Russia and Europe- this only drags down the powers that could have helped us oppose China.

Every single dollar spent on weapons for Ukraine is actively harming our geopolitical position. We added another flood of migrants to europe and gifted them another massive social burden to take over the debts and mouths to feed for yet another failed european welfare state. Rather than actually hold back Russian aggression or lay out firm borders and have peaceful cooperation and understanding with Russia that could have allied in the long run against China, we are losing resources and borders by force in a lost war and bringing Russia closely allied with China and opposed to us, and somehow Joe Biden managed to align south africa, india and south america with China.

It's amusing how certain clueless individuals are upset over a Chilean-American terrorist who worked for the Russian FSB and handed over foreign journalists' locations to Russia, dying of pneumonia in a Ukrainian prison—while a real American is being tortured in a Russian prison.

Who was Gonzalo Lira?
He was a paid pro-Russian asset.

He denied the facts of Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, massacres of civilian Ukrainians by Russian invaders in Bucha and other cities;

In spring 2022, Lira personally filmed the Ukrainian military, tried to show their faces, insulted the soldiers. He published the video on his pages on YouTube, Telegram, and Twitter.

Since 2022, Lira has focused on spreading Russian propaganda and disinformation and engaged in information support of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Lira was quoted by Russian propaganda media and Donbass Devushka’s account exposed by U.S. intelligence agencies in April 2023 after the publication of classified Pentagon documents.

Gonzalo Lira in his publications openly supported the propagandists Alina Lipp, Graham Phillips, Patrick Lancaster, who openly work for the Russians, and disseminated the fakes created by them.
In addition, Lira tried to spy on American journalists covering the war in Ukraine and publish their addresses. This put U.S. citizens at risk, as hundreds of crimes of the Russian military against journalists were recorded in Ukraine: shelling, murders, kidnappings. The first foreign journalist to die in the full-scale war was American Brent Renaud. The Russian military shot him on March 13, 2022, in the occupied Irpin, Kyiv Oblast.

Copy pasting USAID propaganda smearing US citizen tortured to death by your ultranationalist friends is bad, don’t do it. Being a Nazi is so 2024. Check in for an updated memo with your bot farm supervisor.

Senior Azov Movement figure Dmytro Kukharchuk posts pictures of himself with David Petraeus. Some sieg-heiling friends you have, General.
