History, particularly recent history isn't a matter of opinion, its a matter of fact. The status quo ante was Ukraine as a functional and legitimate democracy prior to the 2014 Maidan, the proximate spark of the war.

American patriots are people who care about American interests not Ukrainian interests. We got led into this war by a bunch of Ukrainian ultranationalists haunting the Biden white house and lining Biden's bank account courtesy of Burisma. Doesn't sound like American interests to me. Very Ukrainian patriotic, for sure. Proud patriots who wanted to cast off the grip of Russia and secure a sovereign western Ukrainian state with self determination for everyone west of the Dnipro and for everyone to the east well, like I said, not an American concern

We're weakening our geopolitical position by antagonizing Russia when it could serve as an aligned power against China, our actual rival. We're bogging down the entire western world in costly war while China expands its tendrils across Asia and Africa. And worse yet, we're losing our proxy war. Losing influence in the Sahel to Russia let alone China. We aligned South Africa and India and a swathe of South America against us as we failed to bully them into an economic blockade and instead sabotaged the petrodollar as a reserve currency by doing a rug pull with its inviolate nature. American taxpayers shouldn't have to give a shit about some eastern european slog where the poorest country in europe is a fighting a dumb revolution to overthrow the democracy they used to have and put a dictator in place- but when we're propping up literal Nazi war criminals and undermining our own geopolitical interests at the same time, actual American patriots should be calling for a new round of Nuremberg trials

Whats the definition of a dictator?
Pretty sure saying that elections needed to be suspended in times of war and the leader given extraordinary emergency powers to ban oppositon parties and suspend civil liberties, well that doesn't help Zelensky's case.

He expelled from the country, imprisoned, or killed all opposition and has been holding onto power for at least a year, avoiding elections, even though they could be conducted online through the same app he uses to call for the death of hundreds of thousands of his fellow citizens, despite having dodged the draft four times himself. He has also targeted judges of the Constitutional Court, even attempting to harm them abroad. Goebbels was also a Jew.

Let's see... Insists that sovereign Republics that declared Independence before he ever took office are really part of his country? Check. Used his military to attempt to subjugate those republics? Check. Went to full scale war when a neighbor provided military assistance to those republics? Check. Immediately started Conscripting his countrymen and forcing them to fight the neighboring country? Check. Suspended elections to prevent any possibility of being removed from power? Check. Attempted to force people not to speak a language (Russian) that has been spoken in the region for thousands of years? Check. Has jailed and killed journalists who attempt to publish material critical of his regime? Check. Accused by his allies, friends, funders and supporters within his own government of syphoning off mass amounts of funds from foreign aid for his personal benefit? Checck.

Which part doesn't sound like a dictator? I'm mean, if you claim he's not, I'm down to listen.



So Zelensky's office, the same office that touted the "Ghost of Kiev" for nearly a year when it was completely fake, is now telling us that Zelensky is seeing a surge of support?
