I'm inclined to think nothing there is directed at me but I was quoted so I question.

I think what he is trying to say is that America for a long time was into regime change, which is true, and that russia was not about regime change, which is true. but then again america has been the worlds peace keep up until recently where no other super power was, but has struggled with the concept of, for want of a better expression, bringing democracy to an undemoncratic country.

Russia had satelite countries around it as a buffer, which slowly broke away over time (to the horor of putin). I dont know what Putin wants to do with Ukraine. it LOOKS like he wants to replace the government, i DONT KNOW if he will install a Pro Russian Government, but if he does not want a repeat of the application into NATO, thats the OBVIOUS thing for him to do, short of subsuming Ukraine into Russia.
