Trump should wash his hand and pull a Pilate here. Slowly unwind the free dollars and let Europe pick up the slack if they’re so committed to the war. Of course they’re unlikely to be able to fill that gap and will probably be pissed that the US which was the architect of the mess is trying to make them hold the poop bag. Oh well, next time have the foresight and literally look at Iraq, Afghanistan and the other wars we left incomplete as a premonition of what’s to happen.
I honestly can’t wait for the Germans to be given this. At this point, after blowing up their pipelines, after flooding them with refugees thanks to our Libya and Syria/afghanistan/iraq actions, we might as well hang this on them too. In another 10 years Americans will probably be able to go to Germany and demand prima nocta and German politicians will convince the populace there that it’s in their interests to say yes sheepishly. They’ve mastered being cucked.
This is unfortunately what it appears Trump is doing, at least so far. Unless he wakes up one day and decides to make a big show of ending the war. Biden kept the war artificially propped up and ensured more people would die, but Trump is just disentangling us from it and letting Russia clean up the mess, and that means more people will die in the meantime. But yeah the EU has been on the receiving end of all these geopolitical dustups and they just keep begging for more abuse. Putin told them to their faces he was weaponizing that meaty hose of syrian migrants to weaken the EU and they just choked it down. Its not like it was unpredictable that the ukraine war would end flooding migrants into the EU, putting more stress on the social net, giving them another beggar country bowl in hand and losing them resources and weakening alliances. I said it before the war even began. Some lessons never get learned
