It’s a tragedy that this level of dialogue got completely removed from MSM in favour of blatant lies and propaganda.

Because the legacy media and reporting no longer have any moral or intellectual legitimacy anymore.
They have became a partisan apparatus to further domestic and Geo Political agenda depending on who they ally with.

You will not see the NYT, Reuters, AP etc etc etc as a fair media anymore. Some countries are considering putting them on a funded or semi funded by government list  just like RT and China Daily etc etc .

This is what I'm referring to when I'm saying that decades ago politicians were more rational and understood the importance of a negotiations based approach.

Thx for posting that

Ukrainian man fleeing war rescued with his kitten on a perilous journey through Romanian mountains
A Ukrainian man who embarked on a perilous journey fleeing his war-torn country into Romania was rescued from a deep mountain ravine in subzero temperatures with an unlikely companion: his months-old kitten named Peach ("Persik", editor's note).

More than a dozen rescuers worked in a harsh blizzard to save Vladislav Duda, 28, who was found “soaked and frozen” and severely hypothermic in a 400-meter (437-yard) deep ravine in the northern Maramures region last week, according to the region’s mountain rescue service. Duda had fled Ukraine to avoid being drafted into his country’s armed forces fighting Russia.

“The cat was warm and was warming him … so he saved his life,” Dan Benga, the director of the Maramures mountain rescue service, told The Associated Press. “The only thing we saw he is caring about is the cat. He doesn’t care about himself.”

When the rescue team located and found the Ukrainian, they unzipped his jacket and discovered Peach snuggled up inside. Benga recalls asking Duda if he was OK, to which he replied: “I’m happy because my cat is alive. I got a chance from God for a new life. The happiest moment is because the cat is here with me,” Benga recalled Duda saying.

, even a kitten is able to save more lives than Zelensky alone. Rethink your position on Ukrainian government, it doesn't represent it's people anymore. They all belong to a court martial where people of Ukraine will be the ones to trial and persecute them.

So there was a coup in a country and a neighboring country took advantage of the post-coup noise to grab some territory.

Can PARD folks let me know if that’s good or bad, asking for a friend.

Pic unrelated.

Too complicated. We have two finger puppets USA and Russia and they like to proxy war against each other every time they have a chance.

Assad was not a good leader. He used chemical weapons against civilians.

But he also seemed to keep the country stable. And he wasn't overtly racist or bent on killing certain groups.

The next leader is almost guaranteed to be far worse. Some of the people in the running are former Al Qaeda/Taliban members.

The chances are that it will get very chaotic and unstable there now.

Syria under Assad family rule was one of the most liberal places in the middle east. Prior to all these wars, you could see women in pant suits working as lawyers in places like Damascus sitting at a cafe with no goat lovers trying to stone her. Yes he oppressed the Sunnis and others, no white washing that, but tbh most Shiites are much more compatible with western values vs Sunnis. This isn't to say he wasn't a bad guy, but what Syria is now and what it will be is much further from what we in the west view as normal society. Now you have a bunch of bearded fucks running around with AKs killing indiscriminately while raising their finger in the air and shouting Allahu Akbar. Thousands flooded into Lebanon or ran for the hills, because those coming are not viewed as liberators.

I seem to recall reading something about the chemical weapons claims...
so rather then say "he used chemical weapons" it is more precise to say "it is claimed he used chemical weapons" or "he is accused of using chemical weapons".

its a fine point, but still.

Obama's unwillingness to enforce his redline almost certainly points to the chemical weapons claim being false, imo. just my opinion but some CIA proxy unit dropped that shit likely without Obama's say so then Obama found out and realized he couldn't commit to a war in Syria based on false pretenses. Good move by him, even as a failed State Syria could always be worse.
