The pathetic German foreign minister, Anna-Lena Baerbock, stirred up quite a bit of shit with recent remarks about Germany potentially contributing troops to a post-war peace-keeping mission in Ukraine. The media and the opposition of course had a field day and and framed it as if she was suggesting sending German troops to the ongoing, hot war. The map in your screenshot shows one proposal for the troop strengths of the various European countries in this peace-keeping mission, plus where the demilitarized buffer zone is supposed to be.

Personally, I'm kinda indifferent to the proposal on its face value, but it was of course politically tone-deaf to propose anything which even remotely sounds like sending our military to the active warzone (which overwhelming majorities of our country reject). And I also don't like her proposal in the sense that I could very well imagine it being a trial balloon to test how the public reacts to any proposal in this direction.

For context: Baerbock's Greens have strayed VEEEERRRRRYYY far from their origins in the peace movement of the 70s and 80s. Nowadays, the Greens are the 2nd most hawkish party in our political spectrum, behind only the mainstream cuckservative Christian Democrats (CDU).

She was in the news 2 years ago saying some stuff, cant remember the details, i remember some german friends sending it to me and despairing.

Nothing wrong with the Greens. They are pro Nature and humanity itself is cancer to it.

Environmentalism used to be their core focus, but nowadays, they've become preachy wokesters who focus on climate change fearmongering, open borders and moralistic grandstanding. The present-day Green party is a cancer to our political system.

Tucker Carlson wanted to interview Zelensky in Ukraine first before talking to Lavrov. The US embassy forbid Zelensky to talk to him :D
Btw, he's been trying for a year to get an interview with him.

Carlson's interview will be released soon. He had a list of questions suggested by his followers. It could give us some rare insights from the other side.

Nah, you always get something lost in MSM from those "quoted" interviews. For example, during the Putin interview you could see Putin getting mad and personal about the Ukraine conflict while spewing his propaganda part as well. He was repeating and trying to be super elaborate. It means he was actually open for a dialogue otherwise he wouldn't even try or accept an interview. The other part is Carlson asks questions we'd ask ourselves, not the pre scripted ones in prompts. For example, how close were we or are we to a WW3? Better to ask the person in question than to google around for "opinions".

I really hope this format destroys corporate MSM. I want all spectrum of politics to leave MSM and to go in as smaller journalist associations which then document all the interviews and facts for the people who are interested in video form with the written article afterwards. It's hard to manipulate a fractured ocean of journalists. All kind of corporate shit is there to control.

But we already knew that the US had blocked all other countries from trying to negotiate a peace. We knew Biden had not called Putin in 2 years and we knew that Ukraine outlined anyone except Zelenskyy that tried to seek a peace deal. Russia made interview after interview being open to dialogue and the US rebuffed (and still rebuffs) ALL attempts to find peace. Instead Biden has literally doubled down by giving Ukraine US servicemen to operate long range missiles to launch into Russia, which, to be clear, we outlined in this thread from day 1, that this was a recognised red line from Russia.

On balance, OK, YES, the tucker carlson interview was VERY informative, as it showed us that Putin was reasonable, of sound mind, and not foaming around the mouth about to start WW3.
so YES, your right, Lavrov will be in front of a wider audience and will come across very well to neutrals (ofc the Polish and US, UK will deride / ignore the interview).

But are you an average US-citizen who gets to vote on policies in your country? :D Broader audiences => US- taxpayer.

yes i concede your point and if this was a competition (everything is a competition!) it would look like this:

babun1024 - 1
Ferdia - 0

:)

note: for anyone reading this, I am happy to play such competitions / scoring with anyone (with the caveat being your able to acknowledge a point).
