Nah, you always get something lost in MSM from those "quoted" interviews. For example, during the Putin interview you could see Putin getting mad and personal about the Ukraine conflict while spewing his propaganda part as well. He was repeating and trying to be super elaborate. It means he was actually open for a dialogue otherwise he wouldn't even try or accept an interview. The other part is Carlson asks questions we'd ask ourselves, not the pre scripted ones in prompts. For example, how close were we or are we to a WW3? Better to ask the person in question than to google around for "opinions".
I really hope this format destroys corporate MSM. I want all spectrum of politics to leave MSM and to go in as smaller journalist associations which then document all the interviews and facts for the people who are interested in video form with the written article afterwards. It's hard to manipulate a fractured ocean of journalists. All kind of corporate shit is there to control.
But we already knew that the US had blocked all other countries from trying to negotiate a peace. We knew Biden had not called Putin in 2 years and we knew that Ukraine outlined anyone except Zelenskyy that tried to seek a peace deal. Russia made interview after interview being open to dialogue and the US rebuffed (and still rebuffs) ALL attempts to find peace. Instead Biden has literally doubled down by giving Ukraine US servicemen to operate long range missiles to launch into Russia, which, to be clear, we outlined in this thread from day 1, that this was a recognised red line from Russia.
On balance, OK, YES, the tucker carlson interview was VERY informative, as it showed us that Putin was reasonable, of sound mind, and not foaming around the mouth about to start WW3.
so YES, your right, Lavrov will be in front of a wider audience and will come across very well to neutrals (ofc the Polish and US, UK will deride / ignore the interview).
