I feel that at this point whatever the outcome is in Ukraine, if NATO is off the table, it could be considered temporary. The people would have to believe that any agreement is permanent which is a hard sell without Russia agreeing to allow places like the UK to bolster the border

I'm debating listening to it, but i don't think i can stomach 3 hours of rehashing the same things. You know it will be the same old, why Ukraine needs to keep fighting, why the west needs to continue to throw money, NATO membership, etc.

His language is still not political, and he is not fluent in english. I didnt clearly understand what he was saying re: Germany talking to Russia, but the impression I got was that his view was that Ukraine and its allies need to be strong, firm and of one voice.

Overall it was a good interview, noting he is open to an end to the war, which is an improvement on the no negotiating, keep fighting until we are all dead narrative.

Which is native language…I’m sure his Ukrainian probably hurts the ears for the native Ukrainian speakers as well. He’s just a fucking poser lol. Sorry for lack of a better word.

The stress of his words, the intonation, the British accent he tries to add in there but can’t hold it past the first 3 words of each sentence- it’s all just horrible, I didn’t get past 2 mins.

I have a western Ukrainian guy I used to work with- fully fluent in Russian and also speaks English (we live/work in NY)…moment the war started, he started speaking to me only in Ukrainian, also knowing that I’m 100% Russian. I could care less- we’re in construction, I still was able to make everything out. My moms friend, who celebrated every orthodox holiday became a catholic when the war started….so many “special” people out there.

Yea…he doesn’t understand half the words he’s using and he’s using preset phrases…this guy is lost in the sauce and if he doesn’t shape up and come to the table….he will get replaced pretty swiftly I think.
