Seen this floated in NAFO twitter circles. Unfortunately the idiots don't bother to check how the dollars behaved against other currencies to see if this is truly driven by some massive RUB depreciation or USD strengthening. For example the Euro fell around ~6% since election vs USD.

The USD has strengthened across the board against most currency pairs. USDEUR, USDYEN, USDTRY, fill in the blank. This happened after the election as everyone expects a strong US economy and by proxy strong USD. But don't let me stop you from the Russia is collapsing for 397th time in the last 3 years narratives.

I invite you to check other pairs, such as Belarusian Ruble, Turkish Lira, Indian Rupee, Brasilian Real, Malaysian Ringgit or maybe even Zimbabwean Dollar XD

Rare good clapback, i accept the point. Still doesn't change the fact that this is entirely election driven with USD sucking up capital from all of Dev Markets and EM currencies, so again, less to do with Russia but the shifting FX landscape w/ dollar demand going higher.

for the next month, the most relevant question is, will Ukraine do a critical strike in Russia and how will Russia respond. everything else, im sorry, is irrelevant. the next month will basically decide if we are in WW3 territory or not. At the start of next year, Donald Trump will pull the breaks on WW3, if he is in office.

Interesting, getting North Koreans and Yemeni fighters is cheaper. They just need food, ammunition and oil in exchange all of which Russia has got amass. No social security payments to the families either.

Oh thats easy. Ukraine will shoot at some military installation, and russia will respond by bombing a kindergarden, hospital, supermarket or similar.

Yes, I also hope Trump will lift all limits placed on usage of NATO weapons and Ukraine will be able to end this war quickly and decisively. Enough is enough

I think you missed the part where Genocide Joe wants to escalate the war and MAGA Trump wants to end the war.

lets look at it from another perspective. USA vs Mexico. The US invades Mexico and the world cries foul. The US ignores this so the World decides to give Mexico nuclear missiles. The most logical outcome here is the US nuking Mexico into the stone age, preemptively. Thats the harsh reality of such a scenario for Mexico (and Ukraine). its not a question of who is right or wrong its a question of doctrine and cause and effect.

This is setting up to be a historic win for Trump optically. Imagine a year from now he closes out this war and there's peace. Americans are happy, Europeans are happy, poor Russian/Ukrainians are happy. The Democratic party is incredible at queuing these dubs for the Republicans.

US weapons industry board meeting : shit, we are not at war with anyone, damnit.
Germans : shit, are economy is still toast and we dont have any international trade because the US told us not to, damnit.
Polish : shit, we did not get to test our army, damnit.
Ukraine : shit, we lost 1/3 of our country and are not in Nato, damnit.
Russia & the rest of the world not invested in people dying: yay, war is over.
