American marine Corey Nawocki has been found among the killed in the failed Bryansk assault.

Using (retired) US Marines to attack Russian proper sounds dangerous.

its not. Russia has red lines and this is not one of them. Russia swallowed / tolerated the US backed coup in 2014, but would not tolerate Nato missiles on their border. Russia also tolerated NS being blown up but unlike the German government which is spineless (there is really no other word), Russia will from time to time remind the west of their hypocrisy. In fact, unaligned countries have also had occasion to highlight western involvement in blowing up NS.

TLDR: Russia highlighted a long time ago that Nato (and US) forces were in Ukraine so all this does is support/validate that claim, it is not an escalation, its the current status quo, like russian forces in Cuba, dont ask dont tell you know.

The Austin School is a lecture series founded by Dr. Roy Casagranda, a professor at Austin Community College, in the United States, which delves into a wide range of political, historical, and philosophical topics, often with a focus on Middle Eastern studies. The lectures cover issues like U.S. foreign policy, modern challenges in the Middle East, and complex topics such as ideology, conflict, and social justice. The series often includes notable guest speakers and is hosted at various venues around Austin, including ACC campuses. Events are also livestreamed and recorded, making them accessible to a broader audience.

here is another video for you, same guy.

Does anyone seriously believe there are no NATO missiles stationed in the Baltics, and potentially also in Finland, which are pointing directly toward Moscow and St. Petersburg?
Does anyone seriously believe there are no Russian missiles stationed in Kaliningrad pointing toward Warsaw, Berlin, Paris and London?

I believe the US establishment ( by this i mean both democratic and republican, apart from Trump ofc) had ample opportunities to prevent this war from occurring in the first place but chose not to as it was convenient for them and, perceived, to be in their interests.
Trump appears to be the only US leader that does not want to propagate war.

There is ample evidence in the US, from US operatives, which is freely available online and which was posted in this thread previously, that urged their government not to touch Ukraine, as it was the brightest of red lines for Russia. You are entitled to your own views, and to this point, I am not disagreeing with your two points, but they do not in fact disprove what I outlined.

It does disprove the notion that the prospect of NATO missiles being stationed on their border is a huge red line for Russia, or a credible casus belli for the Ukraine war. Doesn't rule out that Ukraine was a red line for Russia for other reasons, but "no NATO missiles" is not it.

your welcome. but again all these and more have been posted so many times, if you dont open up to the idea that your wrong i cant help you. all of the US experts told the US government repeatedly that this was a red line. just agree to disagree.

Pretty grim picture and illustration of realities on the front today. A few Ukrainians hiding out in a bombed out building hiding from FPV drones in the village of Bohoyavlenka. Ukrainian speaker complains about at least 5-6 drones already today, another drone drops a load, the speaker expects an explosion, instead it's a radio with Russian broadcast telling them to surrender as they're surrounded and the roads out are blocked, with no help coming.

That village was recently fully taken by the Russians, so the broadcast wasn't lying. We'll probably never know what happened with these soldiers but they're either dead or surrendered.
