Mate, there were no 'other side' militias or round ups. Stuff like this happened not only in Odessa but many other cities across Ukraine, especially ones that had significant Russian friendlies. Kharkiv is another example. This isn't really covered well, but subsequent 2014, there were a lot of murders and cleansing of such political opponents, performed by neo nazi and nationalists like Pravi sector/Azov. Trying to 'both sides' this is dishonest.
Just the known journalists and former MPs killed during the Maidan and aftermath is enough of a proven track record. There were a whole bunch of one-off assassinations on top of the bigger massacres like Odessa. There were a lot of vehicles of people killed during the exodus and fleeing back in 2014, including some identifiable people thanks to those journalists covering it and being among the killed. EX a convoy of civilians was escaping Donetsk in the summer following the Maidan and were machine gunned and bombed by the Ukrainian army. We'll never know how many were killed, but when a journalist travels with them and his car is found bullet riddled and burnt out, we at least know its happening.

India, every african conflict, etc, etc. Nazis strafed the french as they fled the occupation in bicycle caravans.
