The Rat King realizes he can't do nothing but suck on the toes of his masters. If you look at Pete from before all of this, you'd be surprised at how progressive in how he used to speak about the very issues he's now totally against.
This shift came about because Bernie was there taking a spot he couldn't hope to get and so he decided to run as a moderate. Pete is someone who is ambitious but in a red state like Indiana his growth is stunted as he can't really hope to become Senator. He could've went for a 3rd term as a Mayor but he felt his time was now and it didn't work out now. Looks like the man wants a DNC position.
DNC really working hard at it, we've got reports that says Biden's team reached out to Klobuchar and Warren to stay in the race to help deny Bernie. These are especially useful in Massachusetts and Minnesota which are the states they're elected from. Blunt him as hard as possible on Super Tuesday to squash this narrative of him being the clear frontrunner.
