Germany’s chief prosecutor has issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian man suspected of blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea nearly two years ago, according to German media reports.

German public broadcaster ARD, and the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit newspapers, said the alleged perpetrator of the attacks was a Ukrainian citizen who had been living in Poland but had now gone into hiding.

This peace is extremely outrageous. You are telling me that a casual diver came on holidays to blow up a 5cm thick steel pipelines at the bottom (150m) of the sea in three different places with specialized explosives and nobody noticed or gave a shit?

If this piece is true - Germany should declare nato article 5 and attack Ukraine to recover perpetrators and bring them to justice. US did it in 2001 being attacked by non-state actors, why can’t Germany?

If it’s a fake - it’s even more outrageous - trying to find scapegoats like this who don’t seem to be qualified to conduct sabotage like this to cover for the real perpetrators- why?

I think the Germans are just gona pretend that this never happened. Having a Ukrainian blow up the ns2 doesn't really fit the narrative so they'll just wait for the next "Russia le bad" talking point and run with it. I also wonder what type of explosives were used and if this guy made them himself but I don't think the investigation wants to "investigate" that hard.

Iirc, it has been established for almost a year that it was a group of four guys, and the dude they're trying to arrest now was their leader. A lot will depend on the actual background, whether he was still an official of the Ukrainian military/intelligence or acting on his own, etc.



Because the German military is so decrepit, run-down and pitiful that it couldn't even seize Luxembourg.

It has been established that a NATO country was directly attacked that caused hundreds of billions of economic damage and they just said “ok I guess”.

They mention it was known since November 2022 - why release all of this now?

Everything about this version of events feels so weird and disturbing:

1) Germany’s reluctance to admit that it came under a terror attack by a country it helps fight a war
2) Poland shielding suspects and stalling investigation;
3) the hard-to-believe disobedience of Zaluzhny that helps cover up Zelensky;
4) a plot at the Wagnergate level of madness that could have been suicidal for Ukraine unless it knew it would have the US backing from the outset;
5) the implausibility of the story that the CIA / Dutch knew about an impending attack on a close European ally and did nothing to avert it
6) Ukranian tourists casually smuggling tonnes of highly specialized explosives across the EU borders like it’s a backpacking trip

The story still appears to be wrapped into many layers of political messaging, crucial omissions and outright lies. If this was anyone else but a US proxy they would burn down the world to find the culprit. Alas all we hear is crickets.
