thats a quick bump ^^
jokes aside though, i get it, but that does not qualify as a wave for me and had way fewer deaths compared to the real two waves
with most people that can expect a severe case vaccinated we need a complete overhaul of the currently useless stats
but these polticians seem to be determined to continue the madness, because everything else would mean that they were mistaken before
in germany we will get some sugar and promises before the election and then the hammer comes down again
I totally agree with you on the other stuff, but the third wave in Germany was really a weird in-between situation: the super-high-risk people in nursing homes or aged 80+ were largely vaccinated, which caused deaths to go up only marginally during that wave - but the at-enhanced-risk groups, particularly the 60-70 year olds, were largely unvaccinated at the time, leading to lots of hospitalizations, even if deaths didn't go up all that much anymore.
Now, the situation is fundamentally different. Once everyone had the chance to get vaccinated, which will be the case in about 4-6 weeks, all restrictions must fall and be put on a purely voluntary basis if you ask me. If it comes to a situation where the unvaccinated threaten to overwhelm the hospitals, they shall be turned away and sent home to die. I highly doubt that it even comes to that, but even if it does, it's not the end of the world imho. This scenario of unvaxxed swamping the ICUs is no justification for keeping restrictions up.
