Over here we're currently working on integrating lots of smarter workflow solutions. Things like parametric designs or automated modeling steps. A lot of calculating work has already disappeared.
Some work will remain (translating customer needs to requirements, making designs pretty etc) but a lot of hours are gonna be gone.
Probably 5-10 years. Atm it's still cheaper to use people. A lot of the work is already automated though, and they can use the bottom of the barrel of employees without much trouble (only danger is theft really).
