Now you're getting silly. The qualification in your argument was "can you name an example of effective peaceful protests
in the past 10 years".
If we're not just looking at the last 10 years, then the 1963 March on Washington and large parts of the Civil Rights Movement are the prime example of a successful and peaceful protest.
You asked if we can point out a successful yet peaceful protest in the past 10 years. My counterquestion is can you name a successful violent protest in the past 10 years.
And like I said: you are the one defending the use of violence here, so it is you who must come up with a justification for this stance, not the ones arguing against violence. (Which clearly should be the default stance.)
