in general: I am sorry if/that your wife is being discriminated against or facing hostility. but dont mix cause and effect. the attitude towards immigrants would be much less toxic if people hadnt gone through over 3 decades of massive illegal immigration that nobody in power gave a fuck about.

if there were strict and strictly enforced immigration laws in place, everyone would know that the immigrants they're seeing on the streets are in the country because they earned it, and not because they just walked in while breaking the laws. they would know that the immigrants they're seing are contributing to society instead of dampening wage growth and collecting welfare checks and health care at the American taxpayer's expense.

with a strictly merit-based immigration system and tough border enforcement, i.e. the exact thing that trump wants for the country, the only negativity towards immigrants would come from the irredeemable core of xenophobic assholes.

expanding on my last post: I am absolutely convinced that the majority of those who nowadays are speaking out against immigration are not against each and every kind of immigration - in reality most of them are primarily against certain types of immigration: illegal immigration, poverty immigration, immigration from culturally very different societies.

but the people who disagree with those types of immigration havent been heard by their elected officials for over three decades, and Trump's presidency is a pretty direct consequence from this negligence.




I hate her and disagree with almost every decision she has ever made and everything she stands for.
And just for the record: I already hated her and disagreed with her policies long before the european migrant crisis even began.

They used to call themselves libertarians, I'm glad they've dropped that label.

If we're staying on a simplistic, one-dimensional left-right or liberal-conservative scale, then most libertarians are even more conservative or to the right than republicans.

For a long time Libertarians were where Republicans who wanted to claim they are unbiased placed themselves. They would basically just parrot Republican talking points and follow it up with "This isn't my bias, I'm a Libertarian!".

They've basically all been run off except for Santy and Cam, and I'm not going to draw conclusions based on a 50% positive rate of a sample size of two.

Well right after Trump signs executive order to NOT separate families, the libtards are already lining up judges to bring suit that, detaining families as a group is bad for the families.
I called this a couple weeks ago.
