According to Russian reports, which aren't exactly trustworthy and most definitely don't tell the whole truth.
Again, I have to ask: what exactly does Ukraine gain by attacking the Zap nuclear power plant? It is their own country which will be contaminated by radioactive fallout if there is a disaster at that plant. And even if they were to seize control of the plant with their attacks, they have no chance of holding it in the long run because it's located on the Russia side of the Dnieper river.
It makes ZERO sense for Ukraine to attack this plant. So what's the explanation here? That Ukrainian leadership is completely braindead?
They will gain international attention by blaming Russia for “mismanagement” of a nuclear plant that Russians Soviets built and Russians know how to operate and upgrade.
Ukranian military leadership is clearly not independent from ultranationalists within their ranks (who just dismissed a literal general and Zelensky looks like he takes personal orders from Biletsky every time they do a photopp together). Those neonationalists see no problem becoming a martyr for a cause so long as it achieves the ultimate goal
(of killing semite-led untermenschen). Sort of like HAMAS or ISIS really.
Soviets tried to exterminate this ideology and partially succeeded until it was revived in the 1990s by the leftovers of Nazi descendants that migrated to eg Canada. Ultimately I believe you need to fight ideology with ideology or at least economic measures, not violence.
