I insist, no matter the severity of the war, there can be no justification to bomb a civilian beach with cluster munitions. There were no military targets in vicinity of that beach.

I give you a hypothetical: What would happen if Cubans would strike a beach in Florida with cluster munitions while a Russian AWACS would guide a Kinzhal launched from Cuba? What would US response be? Would it be muted?

Was it shot down over the beach or was it targeted erroneously? Belbek airport is quite far away. It is not new for Ukranian side to use cluster munitions against non-military - civilian targets - eg bombing of downtown Belgorod on 30th December with cluster munitions or eg downtown Donetsk on 21st of Jan.

Mind you that Ukranian side has immediately called those killed kids that were born and raised in Sevastopol - “civilian occupiers”. This hate campaign is really worrying to me. Having this level of pure vitriol on display - without significant push back - is extremely dangerous and strongly reminds me of the lead up to one of Europe's darkest episodes.
